I just bought a 5.2 from a '93 Dakota and plan to drop it in my '95 Dakota with Auto. The 3.9 in my Dakota has been a trooper (200,000 miles), but I want to upgrade.
Before I rebuild the 5.2, I would like to know what would it take to get 300 hp at the rear wheel. What would it take to get 350 hp at the rear wheel?
I appreciate the advice!

The 5.2 is not a big block. The 3.9 and 5.2/5.9 share the same bolt pattern for the tranny bellhousing.

I wish I would have known that before. GEEZ. I've been trying to find that out. So will any 5.2, even one out of an '85 Ram bolt in to it? What about motor mounts. I need some advice. Read my UPGRADING topic in this forum. Maybe you could help me out gen1dak.
