"Has anyone here heard a rumor about a 4 cyl. Cummins Turbo soon to be offered in the 1500 Ram ?"

Not sure about that one although Chrysler will be offering the Liberty with a 2.8L Common rail turbo diesel. I'm pretty sure it's not a cummins engine, or at least they haven't been advertising it as such. Haven't heard about any new diesel engined automobiles from Chrysler although if they put a 4B Cummins or some derivative in a 1500 I'd line up to purchase one.

The 4 cylinder is the turbo 4 stroke Detroit made in Brazil for Dodge. Currently in export versions of Dakotas and Grand Cherokees. Not sure why they won't sell in the states. Stock boost it puts out around 230 ft-lbs with milage quotes of 20/28 in the Dakota w/ 5spd.
