Sorry, but i just got a r/c hemi with 17's, 3.55 gears, open diff, and a flowmaster, and i can tell it would beat a stock r/t. Nothing that some mods wouldnt fix though.

Well, let's just say my r/t isn't stock:) I've allready raced a rc 4x4 with 17's and waxed him. I was trying to get some feedback on the topic. I haven't raced a rc 2wd with 20's yet, but I want to really bad. There's like 4 of them running around where I live. One wants to race me.

My 16 year old sister has a reg. cab hemi ram 4x2 with 20's and 3.92 sure grip. I have an 02 reg cab dakota 4.7 5- speed with 3.55. The dakota wins by about 2 car lengths every time we race them. But I like the ram better because it is so roomy.

Yea motortrend did a comparo between the r/c hemi and a silverado ss- It was very close in the 1/4- the chevy won by about .1 sec.Dunno about the r/t though

i have an 02 cc r/t,with just exhaust.
ive whipped the crap out of several reg cab hemis,they are slow.ive also raced 2 silverado SS,i beat them both by about as much as i beat the hemis.
but i dont care,ive learned that r/ts,well any dakotas really,are slow too and arent worth the trouble,so im giving mine to my dad and within the next 2 weeks im taking delivery on a 2001 6-speed SS camaro.idunno,these 14 and 15 second quarter miles just arent doing it for me.but hey guys,good luck with your slow dakotas and "almighty" HEMI rams.

Yeah, that was a good deal. My dad got a brand new 2wd quad cab Hemi with 20's for $23,000. Dealer in St. Louis was trying to make way for 2004's. Nice truck, but I like my r/t better:) Picked it up for $8,200 after trading in my 99 Cavalier (man, that car sucked!).

Two guys I work with have hemi 4x4s and both have open diffs. The trac lok diff is an option.

I raced one about a month ago at Gateway International. Hemi was a 2003 reg cab with 20"s (did you know the chrome part of the Ram 20s are plastic?) he had some intake tube with a K&N. Left lane 14.90 @ 89.17

you can get the 20s in polished aluminum- thats what im gonna do- and yes i know for a fact that my truck is an open diff, and i have seen many others that are(it says it on the rear axle)

I have an '04 Durango: 3.92, Hemi, removed rubber flap, drop in K&N (that's all they have out for the Durango Hemi for now) and Royal Purple 5w30. I am itching to get to Moroso speedway down here in West Palm Beach, FL for the test and tune nights to see what it'll run in the 1/4..so far I've beaten some other SUV's/trucks on the street.

I've got an '01 4.7 cc auto w/3.55's ( a few mods :) - no hemi in any form has beat me yet. Slapped every SS too.
