Subject: Removing Kenne Bell Optimizer to SMT-6 IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone here done this? I want to remove the Optimizer and the boost-a-pump as there isnt much you can do to these parts. I'm going to replace the optimizer with the smt-6 and the boost-a-pump with a new holley fuel pump and new injectors.

Message: BE EXTRENELY CAREFUL WHEN REPLACING INJECTORS. I NEEDED A LITTLE LARGED INJECTORS ON MY 2001 DAKOTA. A LONG STORY SORT, I THOUGHT I DID EVERY THING PASSIBLE TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD WORK. TECH ERROR AT JC WHITTNEY CAUSED ME A WHOLE BUNCH OF PROBLEMS AS THE WIER HANES WOULD NOT HOOK UP. JC WHITNEY MADE IT ALL RIGHT. FINANCIALLY, BUT IT DID CAUSE ME LOTS OF TIME AND SOME PROBLEMS.

Message: Are you going to use the smt-6 to control extra injectors ?
I have been using the smt-6 now for a year, mostly for timing control under boost but plan on using it to control extra injectors instead of the fmu that comes with the powerdyne s/c.
I would like to get the paxton airhat with injectors but paxton wants $1300.00
I talked with canspeed (canadian distributor for smt) and they said they had good luck using a NOS fuel solenoid & jet instead of injectors.
Let me know how you make out.
