Subject: Throttle Body for 3.9 IP: Logged
Message: F&B 48mm - $400
Fastman 46mm - $250
Some what of a price difference, is the 48mm worth the price?
What are gains of the 48 over the 46?
98 RC, 3.9L, 4x2, K&N air intake.

Message: Well the F&B is made from scratch, with a block of aluminum
with a CNC machine.
The Fastman is what, just a bored out or ported stock throttle
body? Not made from scratch.
The difference in price is for all the milling work on the F&B.

Message: check ebay for a Sick 50mm they cost $175,and
you keep your old throttle body,Fastman has
a $80 core charge.
I just put one on my 94 3.9,with a 5 speed.
They put on the correct cable attachment
for you,a very easy bolt on.

Message: Well, the F&B 48mm is designed specifically for the 3.9L--- lifetime warranty, complete installation instructions and all new stainless mounting hardware.
I have them on special right now for $375 shipped.
There's no core charge with F&B-- you keep your stock throttle body. Factor in the core charge to any reworked stock throttle body--- and you'll see that F&B is very competitively priced.
