Message: anyone have any thoughts on this? if not, what intake is best? i found a site www.ajusa.com (i think) that sells aem brute force intakes that come with the bs t-body spacer for around $200.00 even. anyone use the brute force? is there really that much difference between any of the cold air intakes out there? thanks

Message: That set up is made for people with the true ram air hoods with dual scoops. If you don't have scoops to let in fresh cold air, then they will just suck in hot air trapped above the manifold. If you have the stock hood, go with the FIPK stype intake. It places the filter in a naturally cool area of the engine. Also pulling out that rubber panel next to the radiator and AC lines helps to feed the filter cold air.
I personally think the K&N kit is over priced. I have a 360 intake and it is pimp, also half the cost. Noticed a fairly good gain from it once the computer figured out it was there.

Message: i don't think that set up is for a ram air hood. ram air set ups have are sealed. the hood seals to the air inlet. i don't know about that particular intake but, it should be o.k. if need be just extend it forward or out farther. just my two cents.

Message: I think it looks great, but don't know if it'll compete with the K&N. My experience is based personally w/ the K&N. KRC says it's worth 12-15 at the wheels.
