Message: I bought a 360airintakes.com air intake system for my 1999 dodge dakota club cab 3.9 V6 4x4. Its the usuall aftermareket tube with an open K-N cone filter at the end of it. obviously i didnt get it to go fastre since it will not do too much, however I have read that hotter air getting into the engine hurts in more than before, even if your getting more air into the engine. I have a pinging problem i think and the hotter air problem obviously wont help, so i was wondering if i should put my stock air box back on...? is it reall that big a deal/difference or not? thanks

Message: Have you done the rubber flap mod? If not maybe that will help get cool air to your engine. Rubber flap pictures I have a K&N FIPK and it comes with a heat shield to block the filter on one side from engine heat. Maybe this would help you.

Message: Have you changed therm to 180 yet ?
Also plugs 3923 or Champ 11 ?
These will help the " ping " problem.
But , yes , one way or the other get cooler
air into it ..
