Here is a better question, can I run the 220cam with 1.7RR it says to stick to 1.6's but wouldn't 1.7's give you more performance?

You can run the 220 cam with 1.7 rockers. If you want to run that combo though, I'd suggest a cam grind that gets you to those numbers using 1.6 rockers.

Why is that a cheaper option or is there another reason you suggest that? Just trying to get as much info on this stuff as I can, I've only had my truck 2 days.

Not cheaper, but you are generally better off trying to achieve bigger numbers with the cam and using the rockers to complement, not vice versa. The 220 is already a decent sized cam.
We do have customers that have run that combo though.

They are the stock ratio, but the cam will open them farther, so there is no need to go with 1.7s. If you go with the 1.7's then decide you want a lumpier cam, you could run into valve-piston clearance problems! If you go with the 1.6's you can go bigger on the cam anytime!
