I have just looked into getting a 89 Daytona Turbo car . And was wondering some opinions on wether or not it is a good doner for the head, turbo and fuel injection to install on my 90 Dakota 2.5 ???????????

I have been pondering the swap for my '94 with a 2.5 for awile and as far as I can tell you would have to modify the intake and exhaust manifolds to make it fit. On the intake manifold you would have to cut the elbow for the throttle body off the end of the intake manifold and weld it on stait on the other end to clear the fire wall. And some mods have to be done to the exhaust manifold to to flip the turbo around so the exhaust of the turbo will be pointing towards the rear of the pickup and for fire wall clearance. But you cannot just put these manifold on your TBI motor you have to swap the the hole engine becouse it has so many diferent parts that are beefed up to handle more power and it has lower compresion so you can run a good amount of boost and still run on pump gas. But the block of the turbo engine from a fwd car does not have the engine mounting spots for a dakota so you would have to put thoughs on and don't forget the computer and wiring harnes.
