Subject: RE: 1/4 mile times IP: Logged
Message: I'm sorry, my V-6 (with nothing but headers) can do the 1/4 in
17.6 @ 78.75. I think an R/T should be in the high 14s at the
slowest. I don't care if it's a heavy truck or not, I thought these
V-8s had potential.
What is this post "9.412 @ 75.16 MPH in the 1/8th" so you are
running say 18.8 in the 1/4 ???? With a V-8???

Message: Using the formula I found, a 9.412 1/8th mile would be a 14.64 1/4 mile.

Message: i have heard you multiply the 1/8th by either 1.5 or 1.57
close, but not always accurate.

Message: Lightnings barley run low 14's high 13's and your almost 4000lb 4.7L Dakota runs a 14. With NO2 maybe. Or maybe you have 4.56's and 26"slicks and a host of other mods that are so rediculous that the truck is borders on non-driveability.

Message: MOST stock R/Ts run between 15.3 and 15.6 based on what I've seen. I've seen 14.6 of stock R/Ts. No way is a 4.7 faster.Wonderful engines, better gas mileage, but slower. And no way in hell they handle better. R/Ts have a lateral Gforce of 87-89 based on different tests.
