Subject: need help IP: Logged
Message: i have a 98 318 4x4 dakota 5spd and when i'm at low rpm between 500-1500 it feels like it's missing.. is it the fuel injector or something else i'm puzzled please help.........

Message: Try researching some posts on distributer problems. I've seen problems like that on much older ('60s,early '70s) vehicles where you'd get that symptom when the bearings start going bad, but work ok at higher rpms as the revs start to stabilize it. I've seen posted there is a common, but different, problem with the newer distributers that has that same symptom, but I forget what it was. Nothing like hands on experience for re-inforcing memory...
