I'm going to be buying an 01 RC/RT Dakota 5.9, I know KRC has a lot of great performance parts for the Dakota, and I believe the 5.9L in the 98' Jeep is the same engine. My question is, will the parts from the KRC website fit on a Jeep with a 5.9 or is there something different about the engine in the Jeep?

Go to jeepsunlimited.com to the speed freaks

KRC build him a 5.9 Jeep.

Cool, thanks I sent my father a link to your site in his email. Trying to see if he'd be interested in a set of 1.7 roller rockers. Those should be fine on a stock setup correct, the site suggests 1.6 if you are going to upgrade the cam. Is there a problem if we go with 1.7 and then decide to change the cam?

No, there are a number of cams that work well with 1.7's. Running the 1.6's is a good rule of thumb, but not an absolute.

Well I hear the 1.7 roller rockers are a good bang for the buck if someone was to do cam and rockers which cam would you recommend with the 1.7? Do you think cam and rockers is a good place to start upgrading the motor?

Well, for example, I've got our 210 cam with 1.7 rockers in my 408. Mild by some standards. I havent' had it on the road yet but I think it will be a nice setup.

Would you recommend any other upgrades to an engine that was going to run 1.7 and a 210 cam? Or is that setup going to be fairly stable?

My 360 came out of a 98 Grand Cherokee. The only
difference was some of the accessories, ie power steering
pump, alternator. Air hat went in the opposite direction.
Someone told me that the intake manifold was somewhat
lower, whether this is true or not, I don't know, I sold it
within a week of buying the engine.

We closed up the shop in 2010, the economy has really gone to hell. There are all kinds of parts out there for your 95. Heads, cam, intakes, you name it. Tuning is tougher. The last I knew, BG Chrysler in Michigan was still doing OBD-I tuning.

Tranny won't break. 9.25 rear end is pretty stout. Your engine internals could be a week point. Cast pistons, crank etc. Watch your boost level. What are you using to tune it? SCT?
