Message: I have heard tales that metal CAI's tend to actually tend to warm the air as metal transfers engine heat better than plastic. Although metal surely looks better than plastic, I can't imagine there being any real difference in power even if the metal tube tends to heat up a little more the air would be moving too fast for there to be any real difference.

Message: go with plastic/pvc wrapped in foil tape to deflect the heat.

Message: If you go with metal you have the advantage of strapping those gell filled ice packs aroung the tube to cool the air a little.
