Depends on who you ask, I guess. I've read posts on this board that say there are NO lifts available yet. I've talked to guys at Sport Truck USA in Coldwater, MI who said they can install a Rancho 3" lift right now (for a mere $2400) and that Superlift is about to release a 5-6" lift. If you do find anything, expect a hefty price tag to go along with it. Myself, I think I'll wait for the Superlift kit. Just cuz I've had real good luck with the 6" Superlift kit on my F150 ... andddd just to make sure the new Dakota will not be susceptible to any problems. I'd hate to slap a $2400 lift on and find out that I might have a buggy truck and not be able to get that $$ back out of it!

FYI - I spoke with tech support at Superlift today and they informed me that a lift for the new Dakota is "on the agenda" and will most likely be released late summer of this year. Soooo we will see.

Thanks man. I can't wait 'till that Superlift comes out. I also heard Skyjacker is coming out with a lift for the 00'-01' models. Time will tell

While we are waiting for these lifts, does anyone recommend a tire/wheel combo for the meanwhile? Just got a 2001 Club 4X4 SLT Plus, has 17X8 rims. Nice size for coming from the dealer, but can I fit 33's?

33's without a lift?? Not from what I've read/heard. Don't think I'd go much above 31's with the stock setup. But that's just based on what I've read. Someone else may have another idea?

I have the SLT with the tire and handling group which comes stock with 265/70/16, approximately a 31" tire. I almost rub the fender wall when I turn the tire at a certain angle, so def a 33" would not fit. Discount tire told me I could fit a 265/75/16 mudder which is about a 32 but I'm pretty sure I'd rub with those.

Oops..my bad...the rims were 16X8.(I also ahve the tire and handling group) Anyways, thanks for the feedback.
