Well, for a while I couldn't decide if I liked the new Rams. I finally got a good close look at one. While all the other manufacturers were going for a kinder, gentler looking pickup, in 1997 Dodge decides to go the opposite direction with the Ram. They gave it a large profile, and mean bodylines. A very tough looking truck. Not only that, they marketed that truck to people who use their trucks as trucks (rember the commercials where guys were operating their heater controls with bulky work gloves?). Now it seems to me that the Ram is going the way of the kinder, gentler pickup. It seems the suits have intruded on the truck world, after successfully turning great suvs into the creampuff, soccer mom vehicles that the toughest terrain they encounter is the speed bump at the grocery store.

Thats funny Manuel because they still make hard mean working trucks, theyre called 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. And if you think people wont work the new Ram hard youre making an ass out of yourself. Oh and 1994 was the year dodge came out with the new bodystyle. But it is your opinion if you dont like them dont buy one. Face it things are changing. Have you seen a lifted 2002 Ram yet? I think once you do you might change your mind.
Oh and Rob, the suits and yuppy scum...
Who do you think makes up most of the buyers in America? Without these people with enough capital to invest we wouldnt be able to have the nice technologically advanced trucks. Do you even drive a Dakota? whats the most payload you put in your truck if you own one? I bet you havent even come close to maxing out your truck you yuppy.

Personally... I like the Sport Version with the billet grille...
Gotta chance to look at one with the Quad cab and it was NICE!!! Sittin' on 20" rims as well...
