Message: Hi,
This is my first time to this site and I was wondering if I could get some tech help? Any help will be appreciated..
I am having ignition problems with my 1999 Dakota 3.9CI V6 and cannot get a spark. Reading these forums have helped, but I still have not found my problem. I'm not getting any codes from the PCM. I started out by replacing the ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor. didn't work. Then I replaced the PCM, still nothing. Now I have replaced the crank sensor, and cam sensor. Still, nothing. I tested the ASD relay and it passed. All grounds were checked and not any problems. Still, no spark. Is there anything else I can do without taking it to a dealership? thanks again..

Message: Like I said in my previous text, I am getting no codes from my PCM. Either way I have got it running now. I guess the ignition pickup/stator that I bought was no good. Replaced it, and it started right up. Total for the job was $465.72 in parts and almost endless hours of labor on my part. I am sooo glad I did not take it to a dealer. I think I'm gonna sell it now. Don't want any of these problems in the future. thanks again for this site and all the help I had just by reading these posts.
