Subject: 93 5.2 stalls IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 club cab with a 5.2 three times now while crusing down the freeway it just shut down for 10-20 sec. then it comes right back on,it runs fine otherwise. I already redid the wire harnis after the frist time it did it,is there anything else it could be other than the computer?

Message: When the truck shuys down go and touch the PCM. If it is way too hot to touch you might have a bad PCM. Mine was doing the same thing because the PCM had a internal short and was heating up

Message: Mac10 I have already cheacked the harnis it was not corroded or lose,I went ahead and redid the conection anyway to be safe. about a week later it did the same thing again.next time it dose it i will cheack to see if the pcm is hot butt all three times it has done this the weather has been cool I have not had a problem while driving it when it has been hot. I live in the high dessert in SO CAL where its been over 100 degs.for the last 2 weeks.

Message: Check the fuel pressure, my 94 started doing that and eventually the fuel pump died.
