 Subject: 3.9L Whining

I got my 2001 Dakota last November. On the drive home from the dealership, I noticed that once the engine is warmed up, when accelerating past and around 2800RPM, there is a loud whining sound coming from the engine. I asked my local dodge dealer but they didn't know what it was. I haven't had time to take it in so they could check it out. Too busy. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or knew what the problem was. Thanks...

When I listtenedd to the whining in my 89 Dakota 4x4, IT CAME FROM THE OVERDRIVE UNIT.
