Message: I got my 2001 Dakota Club Cab a few months ago. I got it with the Radio/Cassette combo because I had no other choice. Now, I am looking for a CD/Cassette combo in the aftermarket. Anybody know one that works well and fits in the dash of the Dakota? I am just looking for something that sounds good in the stock speakers. I also want it to have an AM/FM receiver as well. Thanks for the help.

Message: Hey Bill,
I know Jensen is the only 1 that makes that combo
in a 1.5 DIN unit. I think it's called the CM7015K (don't quote me on that). But if you're willing to buy the adapter, Sanyo makes a single DIN unit called the FXCD-500.

Message: R/T,
I thought about that, but I really don't want to take up the space in my truck with a changer, I don't listen to that many CDs and really don't need a changer.
Most High,
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the dakota was a 1.5 DIN, i thought it was a single. Thanks for filling me in.

Message: R/T,
The only reason I want a combo is so that I have options. I don't have more of one type (CD or Cass) but I have a mix of both and just want the ability to play both should I so desire. However, after I see price comparisons I may have to lay those tapes to rest!

Message: There is a point when you do have to cross over. I'm afraid that we will have to do the same with all of our VHS tapes in the near future.
Remember record players? 8-tracks? now cassettes.
