IP: Logged Message: I called autometer and asked them how to hook it up and they told me that there was no way to do it. I find that hard to believe though. They said it was no possible because of the ignition. I asked why can you just tap into the wire that the stock tach is using. They said you can't do that either. I am a little confused because I use to have a neon that was distributor less ignition and you could tap into the wire that ran the stock tach the only thing was the stock tach and the autometer couldn't both work at the sam time...so the needle on the dash would just lay there dead. If there really no way to hook it up I guess we will just have to wait for an MSD or something. This could be wrong info but this is what autometer told me. Brian |

IP: Logged Message: my name is jon and i own SWR performance in Jacksonville N.C. so you know the info is good. About the autometer tach or any tach at that matter that is aftermarket. You need to add a Tach adapter from autometer. It cost 59.99 at your local autozone. dont let them tell you any different i have installed them successfully. when you get this device it is easy to hook up. make sure you hook up red with stripe to the 1st coils on green with orange strip. any questions email me. yourenginesucks@yahoo.com. They must be working on something. |
