Message: Got a detroit locker in mine. Combined with the bead lock rims and the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, if I air the tires down to 10psi, it's like having tank tracks.

Message: No problem,
Price : $360 from central4wd
Powertrax NO-Slip Locker
Installed by just myself in driveway with jack stands and hand tools just like they say and I AM NO MECHANIC... haha
Does not make noise around turns, I MEAN ABSOLUTLY SILENT...
If i lay on the gas while exiting turn, tires will chirp...
I can not say enough good about this locker
I ride on 31" tires, so i do not know what bigger tires will do... (hurt it?) they say it is good till 1000 horsepower...
Any way, now if i could just find a way to swap the front axle...........
ANYBODY GOT AN IDEA?

Message: Hey Tom, I hear that fulltime lockers in the rear are a nightmare on rainy or snowy roads. Is the Powertrax unit a full time locker?

Message: well andrew,
I am from St louis,MO... And i have yet to drive in the snow or rain, as i have only had the locker a week. But if you take it easy on the gas, powertrax says you will not have to much trouble.
Just like when you lay on the gas with Limited-Slip = fishtail, so rain=easy foot on gas
It is raining here now, so i will let you know how it goes when I drive the dakota (in the mud and on the streets)

Message: I live in Connecticut and have a 110-mile round trip commute to work each day. I had no real problems with the locker in the snow. You just have to remember to be easy on the gas when cornering.
