Subject: '96 MAP sensor IP: Logged Message: 3 times this past summer whenever I took my '96, V8, manual trans. to the mountains (from Denver)and did some very easy 4 wheel driving the check engine light would come on. Every time the shop said it was the MAP sensor. Any ideas why it would continue to go bad?? Thanks in advance! |

Cleaning the Throttle Body is recommended at each 30K miles...if not at every tune up. (The MAP and IAC ports get grunged up with carbon deposits and can cause poor performance and a "check engine" light.) Bernd D. Ratsch 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT Supercharged w/Nitrous |
