I GOT A DAKOTA SPORT 4X4 IN NOV. 00. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT SIZE TIRE I CAN FIT ON MY 16"X8" RIMS THAT CAME WITH MY TRUCK. I AM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A DECENT TIRE IN 265/70/R16 WHICH IS THE SIZE ON THERE NOW. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON BRAND AND SIZE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I HAVE NO PLANS OF LIFTING IT BUT WANT SOMETHING BETTER THAN THE WRANGLER RT/S.

Try 265/75/16 - they will be about 1/2 inch taller but they are much more common. That is the standard size on the older (pre-99) Z71s. There is a multitude of tire choices in that size.

Concur on the BF Goodrich T/A KOs, sounds as if you will not be off-road much (like me), they are a great choice.

i just replaced my worn oem's with Bridgestone Dueller A/T'Revos. i am very happy with them. i stayed with the stock size 265/70/16. they are aggressive looking and supposed to be great on the road as well. i recommend them

After looking at tirerack.com the Bridgestone Revos were my first choice. The problem was that they seem to be on a nation wide back order for a month and I needed tires like NOW. After finding what was available in my town I rechecked tirerack.com and found that the Michelin LTX M/S would fill the order. If I could of I would of bought the Bridgestone Revos.
