Subject: Leak IP: Logged Message: My 99 3.9 is leaking antifreeze from the gasket for the thermostat housing (24,000 miles). Anyone ever have this problem? I might just throw in a 180 degree thermostat and new gasket my self(don't want to deal with boner dodge dealers). Whats a good thermostat to get? |

You can get the Robert Shaw "High Flow" T'Stat (180 degree) from any PepBoys or Autozone - $10. (I've personally found that the Stant Super-Stat is about 8 degrees off while the Robert Shaw is about 2 degrees off.) Bernd D. Ratsch 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT Supercharged w/Nitrous |
