Subject: Rough idle/check engine light IP: Logged Message: I've got a '93 3.9 V6. The thermostat locked up, and I overheated. After putting in a new thermostat, the engine can't seem to find idle, and the check engine light is on. The fault code (34) says speed control vacuum, but I can't find any vacuum leaks. Tried replacing the coolant temp sensor, but it didn't help. The temp guage seems ok. Any ideas? Thanks |

One for the guage, and one for the PCM that sits behind the thermostat housing. Turns out I had knocked the second one off, but I didn't realize there were 2, so I kept messing with the wrong one. The dealer plugged it back in for $78, and idle is back to normal. Brad |
