Subject: shocks 1994 4x4 IP: Logged Message: I've had this truck since new, three years ago the head of the bolt to front shock sheared off. two years ago the passenger side bolt worked loose and came out in the process destroying the threads. The A-arm on both where retapped and have been ok, this truck has seen very minimal off road use and I am afraid of using it much off road now. Any suggestions to deal with this any add on front shock packages to take some of the load off those two? The A-arm is thin at the connection and seems to be a poor design to me. The lower ball joints had to be replaced at 70,000 after 95% highway mileage, are these problems common? |

Are You running any custom stuff that might be increasing the load on those parts? How have the last four years been on the joints and bolts, any further wear? |
